Excellent food! But the ambiance almost trumps it!!! Every visual detail was thought about and exquisite! A true CLASSY diner! Napkins esthetically match the curtains and flowers on the table. VERY clean and they bring the bill in a "House on Pooh Corner" book...so cute!

We ordered the chilaquiles and they were delicious! Service was quick and polite, just what we needed.

Blondie and I never make it down here in time, when we visit Half Moon Bay. Today, we went to Johnny's first, and were very happy we did. First, I'll note that this "diner" has class. Cloth napkins, actual candles on the tables, nice glasses, and the half and half is served in a little pitcher. Service was fast for a little place with limited seating. We were by the window, with a nice view of the street. Anyway, it's really all about the food. Best chilaquiles I've had, with just the right amount of spicy heat. Check out the picture. Blondie had a creme brulee type French toast, and didn't have to add any syrup; it was plenty sweet. Plus they had a hot chocolate with whipped cream and Oreo atop. It was all a bit pricey, but worth it. We just to remember to get here early enough.

Johnny's was the perfect place to stop for a quick lunch on our roadtrip. The service was quick, and the food was tasty. We enjoyed the view of the Main Street from the window, and the design of the restaurant (even the bathroom!) was so welcoming. Good value for the price!

Went here during the pumpkin festival. There was a long line before opening and we got in. It's a 50s style diner with the music and a smaller menu that has good selections. We tried the chiliquilas and a scramble. The coffee was pretty good too.

Unexpectedly terrific food in this retro establishment. It's probably more of a 4 1/2 star, but I rounded up because they have such a terrific eggs Benedict, friendly and efficient staff.
